Sensus Communis

An International Association for Historical and Theoretical Studies on Foundation of Knowing

Sensus Communis Association is a free union between philosophers and other scholars who co-operate for developing an inter-disciplinary and philosophy-headed approach to the problem of truth. Their primary goal is overcoming contemporary hegemony of sceptical and relativistic thought which leads Western civilization to deny the existence and the relevance of transcendental truths, so that too few people feel really concerned with moral and religious values.

This Association is independent from any governmental or ecclesiastical authority. It was been created in the year 1998 by Professor Antonio Livi and other Italian and international representatives of academic philosophical culture.

For reaching its goals the Association co-operates with other cultural agencies in organizing conferences and meetings in order to promote a dialogue between different philosophical schools which could lead to recognise a common theoretical background. The Association promotes also the diffusion of the main results of its cultural research by publishing books and journals.

Study boards and other financial helps will be granted to young people who would dedicate to perform philosophical researches in the topics that the
Association is concerned with.
